Safety Data

The reporting process is one of the pillars of the ECCAIRS 2 Platform. In this section,  you will find details on Reports management, converting Original Reports (ORs) into Validated reports (VRs) and integrating VRs into Occurrences (OCs).

Original Report: An OR is the Occurrence (safety event) description as sent by a Reporter. It is the basic data record within the ECCAIRS Reporting System. It is not editable by officers and never shared with the ECR.

Validated Report: A VR is an OR that was copied in the National Authority E2 Database. It is editable but cannot can be shared with the ECR either. It can also be converted or integrated into an Occurrence.

Occurrence: An Occurrence is the main enriched data record within the ECCAIRS Reporting System.

  • Manage Validated reports. Create new ones, edit them to complete required data, integrate them into an Occurrence and perform other available operations, further explained in the Validated Reports section.
  • Manage Occurrences. Review them in detain, solve possible conflicts when integrating VRs into an Occurrence and perform other available actions, also further explained in the Occurrences section.
