Batch Operation creation

Click on the 'New Batch Operation' button to create a new one. A new window will be displayed.

To build the batch operation, ECCAIRS 2 integrates a visual tool that helps you create the rules, triggers and combinations you need.

Before going into the details of the creation of a Batch Operation, you will have to write the name and select the Library and Category to save this Batch operation.

Filter the affected reports

 

The query functionality is normally used to filter the reports shown in the Safety Data or Safety Recommendations list views. Queries can also be used to determine what reports are going to be affected by the execution of a Batch Operation.

While creating a new Batch Operation, you can select one of your queries or a query shared to you via Shared library. This query will be used when executing this Batch Operation, to determine what reports will be selected to be processed by this Batch Operation.

If you select a Query with 'Ask later' values, below the query selection you will be able to write the desired value for that attributes

Actions

In this section you will decide what is the Batch operation going to do when executed.

One or more rules can be specified to be executed in an action. The rules will be executed in order and one by one.

The actions are divided into two main groups. Attributes and reports

With attributes you will be able to:

  • Delete an attribute
  • Update an attribute value
  • Insert a new attribute into the report.

With reports you will be able to:

  • Share report to ECR
  • Process report as Validated or as Occurrence
  • Archive report
  • Delete an archived report
  • Restore an archived report
  • Make a Major version of a Validated report or an Occurrence

Some fields like Attribute and Value will be necessary when creating a rule with attributes but will not be necessary when doing actions on reports.

Schedule

A Batch operation can be executed when needed, simply by pressing the 'Execute' button . But there is also the option to schedule the Batch operation. Then the ECCAIRS platform will automatically launch the execution of this Batch operation when the scheduling parameters are met.

You can schedule the Batch operation to be executed daily, weekly or monthly. Then you can choose the day and time in which the Batch execution will be launched.

The Continuous option is a trigger based execution. Batch operations with this type of scheduling will be executed every time a Report or Safety Recommendation is saved in Minor or Major version. If the report being saved matches the parameters configured in the query, the actions of the Batch operation will be applied to this report.

Undo

As a security measure, the Batch operations can be programmed to have a period of time in which the modifications done by the Batch operation can be reverted.

You can enable this funcionality by selecting the Undo option. The amount of time the undo will be available after the execution of the Batch operation has a limit of 24 hours.

The Continuous Batch operations will not have the undo option available.
