Draft, Minor, Major versions
A validated report can be edited. To facilitate the edition and the viewing of Validated reports between users, three states have been defined to control who can view the Validated report.
By clicking on the 'three dots icon' next to the 'Save as Draft button, another two saving options will appear
Save as draft
When you are editing a Validated report, you can save it as draft and only you will view that report. While this report is in Draft state, only you will be able to see it.
Saving a report as draft will not create a new version of the report.
Save as minor
When you change the state of a Validated report to Minor, this validated report can be seen by your user community.
Saving a report as minor will create a new version and the version number will be updated. In this case, the versioning will update the numbering after the separator. Having a version number like X.Y, in this case the resulting version number will be Y+1.
If for example you have a report with a version number 3.5, saving another report as minor will update this number to 3.6.
Save as major
When saving as major, the Validated report will be viewed by other administrators if this report is also shared.
Saving a report as major will create a new version and the version number will be updated. In this case, the versioning will update the numbering before the separator. Having a version number like X.Y, in this case the resulting version number will be X+1 .0
If for example you have a report with a version number 3.5, saving another report as Major will update this number to 4.0.
